About  Us

Ray and Georgia went to a major chain store and bought go-karts for their children, soon discovering they were of limited quality and parts were difficult to obtain.  They knew someone had to build a good kart, so they searched for months for the best brands.

After extensive research they found heavy duty karts, but the closest dealer was almost two hours away.  Insisting on quality and safety for their children, they bought a dealership so they could get two go-karts for their children.  They sold well, and that was the origin of Reliable Go-Karts -- in their garage.  That was in 1988;  within a few years, customers hungry for quality go-karts purchased over 300 go-karts a year out of the garage of their home in Cedar Hill, Texas.

The volume was too much for a garage operation, so they rented a building on Highway 67.  After the landlord sold the building, they purchased 14 acres just down the highway, and built a new, modern facility designed to be a go-kart shop, with a larger parts and service area.

The Cedar Hill showroom/warehouse opened in 1995.  They added new lines and are now a distributor for go-karts for portions of Texas.

In 2007, they moved to Waxahachie to be closer to their customer base.  Even though they're a distributor, the public is still welcome to shop for the ultimate in quality Twister go-karts and Chuck Wagon utility vehicles in the Waxahachie showroom.

Aaron (left) is an accomplished technician, and once worked for a Waco landscaping dealer.  He was chosen to deliver some equipment to President George W. Bush's home in Crawford.  (He was disappointed he didn't get to meet the president ... and both presidents were there.)  He works in College Station, performing watercraft and ATV repair.  He has a collie, Levi, who understands more English than most overseas phone support personnel.

Michelle (wedding dress) is a 2003 graduate of Baylor University and works as a church organist for a Lutheran Church in Roanoke and is a director in training for Mary Kay Cosmetics.  A professional musician, she is often hired as a pianist, organist, or singer.  She and her husband, Kyle, have two dogs, Fred and Bryson, both of whom are employed as watch-dogs.

Kyle (center, son-in-law)  is a 2004 graduate of Baylor University and is the Training Manager for Arthur Marshall, a well-known physician recruiting firm in Las Colinas.  He is also active in Schola! Cantorum of Texas, and serves on the board of directors.
